69 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca BOYLE, John Francis WWII John was born on April 30, 1924, to Edward (E. P.) and Rosemary (McHale) Boyle in Neepawa. He graduated from Neepawa High School in 1941 and then attended St. Paul’s College in Winnipeg. From there, he went to the University of Manitoba. Jack enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 1943 and trained as a navigator, but the war ended before he saw any action. Sergeant John Boyle was discharged in February 1945. He and his wife, Berna Elizabeth Hargreaves, were married in October 1948. Jack worked at the family business, the Neepawa Creamery, until his retirement in 1993. He had managed it from 1969 to 1990 after it had been sold to Schwan’s Canada, Ltd. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23 for 46 years. John passed away on October 6, 2013 and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa. BRADLEY, Joseph Walter WWII Joseph was born in County Durham, England on May 24, 1916. He enlisted in the Army and served as Lance Corporal with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in the United Kingdom, France, Holland and Belgium during World War II. He married Rose Marie. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23. Joseph passed away on April 10, 1979. BRADLEY, Thomas Earl WWII Thomas was born in 1920 in Clark Lee, by Lundar, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air force and served in Canada during World War II. Thomas was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23 for 38 years from 1966 until his passing in 2004.
