He enlisted in the Army in November 1915 and served as a Gunner with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 38th Overseas Battery, 10th Brigade. He was discharged in April 1919 and married Elizabeth Lang on March 6, 1924. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23. Charles passed away on April 15, 1981. BARBER, Gerald Arthur WWII Gerald was born on December 27, 1924, to Charles and Elizabeth Barber of Kelwood, Manitoba. He received his education in Kelwood, Glenallen, Tobarmore, and Eden schools. He joined the Army in World War II and served as a Private with the Canadian Infantry Corp, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, Manitoba Regiment for about two and a half years. In 1948, Gerald started farming and in 1952 he married Vera Miller. He served his community on the Tobarmore school board, the Birnie Elevator Association and as a bus driver. He retired from farming in 1981. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23. BEE, Clinton H. WWII Clinton was born in Oberon on November 26, 1918. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Winnipeg on March 14, 1941 and served in England and in France during World War II. He was discharged in Winnipeg on October 5, 1945. Clinton received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and 1939-1945 Star. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Neepawa Branch 23 for 63 years. Clinton passed away on September 12, 2015.
