He joined the Army on September 4, 1942 serving with the Winnipeg Light Infantry in Canada during World War II. Private Guy Orchard was discharged on July 5, 1944. He married Ethne Deveson in 1940 and they operated the Arden Ridge Filing Station after Guy was discharged from the Army. Guy was active on the Arden School Board, Lansdowne Centennial Committee, Arden Park and Picnic Committee and he also worked at the Post Office and was involved with the Inkerman Church. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and the Neepawa Drop-In Centre. Guy passed away on September 18, 1992, in Neepawa, Manitoba. PABIYANEK, Anton WWII Anton was born in Poland on May 2, 1915. He enlisted in the Polish Army in Warsaw, Poland on September 9, 1941 and served in Italy during World War II. He was discharged on September 20, 1946 and received the 1939-1945 Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He and his wife Kay had four children, Julie, Kristina, Eddie and Cathy. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. Anton passed away on April 5, 2005. PANNSUIK, Daniel WWII Daniel was born in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan on September 30, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on June 28, 1940 in Regina and served with the SSR during World War II. He was discharged in Regina on August 31, 1940. He and his wife, Pauline, had two children, Donna and Thomas. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. Daniel passed away on November 22, 1988.
