He enlisted in the Navy in Winnipeg on August 7, 1941 and served with the RCNVR on the North Pacific, North Atlantic, and High Seas. He was discharged in Winnipeg on August 24, 1945. He was married to Janet. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. John passed away on August 30, 1986. McCULLOUGH, Charles Edward “Charlie” WWII Charlie was born on August 31, 1913, to George and Minnie McCullough in Kenville, Manitoba. He received his education there, at Swan River, and later at Franklin where the family moved in 1928. Corporal Charlie McCullough enlisted in the Army in Winnipeg in July 1942 and served with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps and the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in World War II. After his discharge in April of 1946, he returned and purchased a farm at Mentmore, Manitoba where he farmed until 1970. He then worked in Shilo, Manitoba until retiring to Neepawa. Charlie passed away on February 24, 1993 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa. McFADYEN, Clarence Earl WWII Sergeant Clarence McFadyen was born in Eden, Manitoba on January 7, 1915. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Winnipeg in 1941 and served in Canada as a Wireless Operator ground group “B”. He was discharged on August 25, 1945. Clarence was married to Dorothy Osborne. He passed away on July 29, 1995.
