He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Fort William, Ontario in November 1941 and served in Canada and overseas during World War II. His service number was R-140737. George was discharged in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in November 1946. He received a Service Medal. George and his wife Dorothy had two children, Karen and Gilbert. CAVERS, Roy F. WWII Roy was born in Boissevain, Manitoba in 1921 and trained for four years in Chilliwack, British Columbia with the Royal Engineers as a motorcycle instructor. He passed away in 2008 and had been a member of the Souris Branch 60 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 62 years. CAWSON, William WWII William was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 1, 1919. He enlisted in the Army in Winnipeg on September 2, 1939 and served as a Private in France with the Queen’s Own Canadian Highlanders of Canada during World War II. His service number was H-19098. William was discharged on May 25, 1944 in Winnipeg. He and his wife Norah had two children: Irene and Robert.
