She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (Women’s Division) and served in Canada. She was killed by an automobile on May 11, 1945, at age 25 in Clinton, Ontario, while riding a bicycle off duty. Dorothy is buried in the Brandon Cemetery in Brandon, MB. WAKEFIELD, Gordon “Wilfred” WWII Gordon was born in Brandon, Manitoba, in 1923. He joined the 12th Manitoba Dragoons, serving in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe. He passed away in 2002 and had been a member of Brandon Branch 3 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 55 years. WALCHUK, Walter WWII Private Walter Walchuk was born on February 9, 1920. He enlisted in the Army in Flin Flon on January 1, 1943 and served with #18 Platoon, #4 Coy, 103 C.A.B.T.C. in Canada during World War II. His service number was H-1706.
