He enlisted in the Army in Weyburn on September 8, 1939 and served with the Southern Saskatchewan Regiment during World War II. He was discharged in Weyburn on January 8, 1940. His service number was L12076. Philip was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. PRUDEN, Malcolm A. WWII Malcolm was born in 1922. He enlisted in the Army in Regina in September 1942 and served as a Gunner with 12th Field Regimen, RCA in Europe during World War II. He was discharged in Regina on February 5, 1946 and received the Service Medal. His service number was L102326. Malcolm was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73 for five months. PTOSNICK, Tony WWII Tony, son of Joseph and Clara, was born in Thornhill, Manitoba, on April 10, 1923. He enlisted with the PPCLI, arriving in England and stationed with a holding unit. He was then transferred to the Algonquin Regiment. Tony became a prisoner of war in Germany and was liberated on April 10, 1945, his birthday. He said that was the best present of his life. Tony returned to Canada and his parents’ home in Thornville and then moved to Winnipeg, MB, and got married and took up the trade of painting and decorating. Tony passed away in 1990 and was a member of Charlesworth Branch 100 for ten years and 25 years with the St. James Branch 4 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
