At the age of eighteen, he joined the 18th Mounted Rifles in Winnipeg and when the family moved to Needles, BC a year later, he enlisted in the 88th Victoria Fusiliers as an express driver. He served overseas in the United Kingdom and Europe and was wounded in the neck. He later became a member in the Masonic Lodge. Robert passed away in Kimberley, BC in 1946. FORRESTER, Robert R. WWII Robert was born in Transcona, Manitoba in 1920. He served as a Flight Sergeant overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. His service number was 4362A. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73.
