He enlisted in 1939 with the Royal Corps of Signals, being discharged in 1945. Brian was married to Carolyn. CHANNING, Roscoe H. WWI Roscoe was born in New York, USA on January 7, 1868. He enlisted in August 1917 in the USA and was discharged in December 1918. He served with the Roosevelt Rough Riders, 1st US Volunteer Cavalry in the Spanish-American War. He served in the Great War in 1917-18. Roscoe was honorary President of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73 from 1930 to 1934. He was also President of H.B.M. & S. Mining Co. Ltd. He graduated from Princeton in 1890. He received an honorary degree of Doctor of Law from the University of Manitoba “in recognition of his distinguished public services.” CHAPMAN, George Sydney WWII George enlisted in the Army in Winnipeg in March 1944. He served overseas with the Canadian Armoured Corps during World War II. He married Elsie White in 1936 and they had one son, Jerry. He had one brother, Richard. Trooper George Chapman was killed in action in February 1945.
