He served overseas during World War II with the Royal Air Force. Vernon was reported as missing and was presumed dead. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Byers of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Besides his parents, he also left behind one sister, Marjorie, and two brothers: Trooper Kenneth Byers, with the army in Italy, and Glen. BYHRE, Clifford V. WWII Clifford served in the Army in Canada and overseas as a Trooper with the 18th Canadian Armoured Car Regiment during World War II. BYRNES, Ambrose WWII Ambrose was born in Rainey River, Ontario on April 19, 1917. He enlisted in the Army in Winnipeg on November 17, 1940 and served as a Trooper in World War II with the RCD in Canada and overseas. Ambrose was discharged in Winnipeg on January 19, 1946. He received a Service Medal.
