He served in World War I with the 222 Battalion in France and Canada. He was killed in action in 1917. VERMETTE, Ralph A. WWII Ralph was born in Camperville, Manitoba on July 6, 1916. He was a proud soldier in World War II. He joined the Winnipeg Rifles and served with the 10 District Depot (CA) in England and Italy. He received a special medal from Holland. He met his bride while serving in Manchester, England. They married on May 5, 1943. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 20 for ten years. Ralph passed away on May 15, 2012. WHITE, Clayton L. WWII Clayton was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1925. He served on the high seas with the Navy on the HMCS Shawinigan during World War II. Clayton was killed in action at sea in 1944.
