253 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca ROWLEY, Murdoch WWI Murdoch enlisted on January 31, 1918 with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He served in England and France with the 52nd Battalion in World War I. He was wounded while on active service and was discharged on February 14, 1919. Murdoch died accidentally on November 12, 1964. He is buried in Fisherton Cemetery. SAVAGE, Anson Edwin WWI Anson was born in South Stukely, Quebec in 1887. He had three brothers, John, Charles and George. Anson married his wife Hazel Greenway and they had one son. He enlisted with the Army and his service unit was the 90th Winnipeg Rifles, 24 Battalion and 2nd Division. He served in Canada, England and France. He returned home and became an accountant. Anson passed away in 1942. SAVAGE, Charles Henry WWI Charles was born in Eastman, Quebec in 1892. He had three brothers and was married to Helen Montizambert. He served with the Army and his service units were the 5th Regiment and the Canadian Mounted Rifles. Charles passed way in 1978 and his ashes were spread in St. Maurice River in Grand-Mère, Quebec.
