He enlisted in Winnipeg on February 19, 1942 with the Royal Canadian Air Force serving in Canada and Newfoundland duringWorldWar II. Matthew was discharged in Winnipeg on January 5, 1945 receiving a Service Medal. He and his wife Bernadette had three children, Marylyn Rose, Mary Ellen, and Michael. Matthew was killed in 1951 in a mining accident at the age of 48 in Flin Flon. GIBNEY, Thomas Patrick WWII Thomas was born in Sturgis, Saskatchewan on January 5, 1918. He enlisted in the Army in Regina, Manitoba in August 1941 and served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps during World War II. He was discharged in Regina in 1946 receiving a Service Medal. GIFFIN, Graham WWII Graham served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Sergeant Graham Giffin was killed in action in 1943.
