He was a Prisoner of War at Camp Luft 3 where he stayed for three months. He transferred to Luft 6 in East Prussia where he stayed for thirteen months. He was a prisoner for more than two years. Flight Sergeant Desjardines returned home in 1945. DESY, Paul H. WWII Paul was born in Central Falls, Manitoba in 1924. He served as a Private with the Light Infantry in Canada and overseas during World War II. DIGNEY, Roderick J. WWII Roderick served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force with 424 Squadron. Flight Lieutenant Digney was killed in action in Germany in 1944.
