He was a member of Sturgis Legion Branch. Sandy passed away on March 20, 1987. FINES, Cecil Clayton WWII Cecil was born in Darlingford, Manitoba, the son of Richard and Mabel Fines. He enlisted at Winnipeg on April 9, 1940 and trained at Fort Osborne, Winnipeg. He served overseas in Jamaica and Hong Kong. Cecil received a Letter of Commendation from King George VI. He married Rose Christoffel on November 5, 1948 in Vancouver. They had three sons. He has been a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Collingwood Branch, 48th Pacific Command. FINES, Harvey WWII Harvey was born in Darlingford in 1914, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Fines. Harvey joined the Army Medical Corps in September 1940 and transferred to the same division of the RCAF in 1941. He took his training at Brandon and Dauphin before going overseas in March 1942. Harvey married Jessie Cramer. They had three sons, Robert of Brandon, Wayne of Montreal and a third son that died in childhood.
