He enlisted in Winnipeg in 1940 with the 38th Battalion, 3rd RCLAA Regiment. William served overseas in south and south-east England and was wounded by trench mortar on October 7, 1944 at Capellan, Holland. He lived in Winnipeg and was employed as an airframe mechanic. He married Marjorie Stoner on December 21, 1940. CRAMER, Clarence W. WWII Clarence was born in Baldur, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse B. Cramer. He lived in Brandon where he was employed as a caretaker. On December 26, 1946, he married May I. Charnock. He enlisted at Toronto with the RCAF in 1942 and was trained at St. Thomas, Ontario. He was stationed at Centralia, ON; Winnipeg; Rivers, MB and Greenwood, NS and overseas at England with the 424 Squadron of the British North African Air Force at Kairoun West Teunisa, North Africa with the BNAF 424 Squadron. He helped provide air cover for the invasion of Sicily and Italy. CRAMER (FAULKNER), Irene WWII Irene was born in Burton on Trent, Leicestershire, England, the daughter of Thomas Ernest and Minnie Sarah Faulkner, World War I veteran. She enlisted at Leicester, England in September 1940 and trained at Pontefract, Yorkshire and Blackdown, Surrey. After the war, she resided in Douglas, Manitoba. She married James Edward Cramer of Baldur, MB at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Leicester, England on October 31, 1942. They had three children, Brian, Barry and Marion and one chosen son, John Allan.
