He enlisted at Winnipeg and trained at Portage la Prairie and Shilo. He lived in Toronto and was employed as an ironworker. On October 25, 1941, he married Gwen Johnson. BROWN, John WWI John was born in Sydenham, Scotland in 1897. He enlisted in the Navy and served onboard HMS Atherstone during World War I. He was awarded the 1914-1918 Service Medal and the 1914-1918 War Medal. John returned from the service with the flu and passed away at home in Elgin, Manitoba in 1918. BROWN, Joseph S. WWII Joseph was born in Borders, Scotland in 1906. He enlisted in the Air Force and served with No. 2 Training Command HQ as a Mechanic in Canada and Lancashire, England. Joseph attained the rank of Flight Lieutenant before his discharge on December 3, 1945. Joseph passed away in 1960.
