He enlisted in the Army in Belfast, Ireland on June 1, 1915 with the Royal Engineers. He served with the 121 F.C. in France during World War I and was discharged in June 1919 in London, England at the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, General Service Medal and Victory Medal. He was second President of Flin Flon Legion Branch 73 in 1930 and was involved in civic politics. He was a member of Flin Flon Legion Branch for four years. BOULET, Wesley Dale PEACETIME Wesley was born in Glenora, Manitoba, the son of Alphonse and Mabel Boulet. He enlisted at Kingston and was stationed at Carp, Ontario and Val Cartier, Quebec. Wes’ regiment drove to Winnipeg to provide communication systems for the Pan Am Games in 1967. He lived in Winnipeg and was employed as an Electronic Technician. In November 1970, he married Janet Thorne. BOYSE, Daniel J. PEACETIME & SPECIAL DUTY AREA Daniel was born in Woodstock, Ontario in 1958. He joined the Army Cadets 1972 in Ingersoll, Ontario – 109 CC; the Reserves in 1975 in London, ON – 1st Hussars; and the Regular Force in 1977 in London, ON. Daniel retired from the Forces in 1995 in Trenton, ON. He served in Canada, Egypt (Sinai), Greenland (US Space Command), MFO with the 1st Hussars London, ON (Armoured Reserves); LDSH (RC) Calgary, AB (Armoured Regiment); 8 Canadian Hussars Gagetown, NB (Leopard Tanks); Royal Canadian Dragoons Gagetown, NB; Royal Canadian Air Force (Air Traffic Controller) and 8 ACCS Trenton from 1992 to 1995. He was a Corrections Officer from 1996 to 2013 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He has been Legion District 2 Zone 23 Commander as of June 2017. Daniel was awarded the Canadian Decoration for Service, Peacekeeping Service Medal and Multinational Force and Observers Medal. Daniel has been a member of Portage la Prairie Legion Branch 65 for fifteen years.
