He was a section man at Neepawa. Russ enlisted in Winnipeg and trained at Shilo. He married Kathleen Patricia Cardwell in November 1968. SVEINSSON, Arni WWII Arni was born in Baldur, the son of John and Sigurveig Sveinsson. He enlisted in Winnipeg, Manitoba, trained in Montreal as a wireless operator – ground and was stationed at Halifax, Labrador and Greenwood. He resided in Vancouver, British Columbia where he was a music teacher. SVEINSSON, Sveinn S. WWII Sveinn was born in Baldur, the son of John and Sigurveg Sveinsson. He enlisted in Winnipeg, trained at Brandon and Saskatoon as an air frame mechanic and was stationed at Trenton, Ontario and Paulson, Manitoba. He married Alice Joel in 1940. They had three children, Lynda, Edwin and Allan. Sveinn passed away in 1966.
