He joined the Winnipeg Rifles Cadet Corps in 1967. He was commissioned in 1972 in the Cadet Instructor List. Dennis transferred to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in 1975. His extensive training program took him to Vernon, BC; Banff, AB; Gagetown, NB; Shilo, MB; Trenton, ON; Churchill, MB; Dundurn, SK and Wainwright, AB. Dennis completed his Militia Staff Training in Kingston, ON in 1986. He was promoted to Commanding Officer for the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in 1992 and retired in 1995. He married Julia Holland from Troy Hill, ON in 1977 and they had two children, Serena and David. Dennis retired from the CNR in 2008. RANKIN, Charles WWII Charles was born in Birtle, Manitoba in 1923. He enlisted in the Navy and served in the North Atlantic onboard HMCS Frontenac, Columbia, Chebogue and Arnprior during World War II. He has been a member of Dryden Legion Branch 63 for 35 years. REBER (WARGA), Dawn PEACETIME Dawn was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1966. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in Winnipeg and served during Peacetime. She did her basic training in HMCS Cornwallis, trade training in CFB Borden, Ontario and then went to CFB Cold Lake, Alberta.
