He enlisted in the Army with the 226th Battalion during World War I, but was declared unfit for war service and was discharged from the Army. He had nephritis, a kidney disorder, and spent three months in the hospital. He was never shipped overseas. Before he enlisted, Elijah was married to Florence Prieston and was a farmer by trade. Elijah passed away in 1947 and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Thunder Bay, Ontario. PRIESTON, George V. WWII George was born in Birch River, Manitoba in 1914. He passed away in 1972. PRIESTON, Robert Allen Allen was born in Port Arthur, Ontario in 1939. He passed away in 1993.
