He enlisted in the Army and served with the British Royal Garrison Artillery in the Suez Canal during World War I. Angus passed away in 1979. KELLY, Ernest J. WWI Ernest was born in Richmond, Quebec in 1891. He enlisted in Brandon, Manitoba in the Canadian Army Dental Corp at the rank of Lieutenant on September 21, 1915. He served in the British Isles and in France during World War I. Ernest was discharged in London, England on October 1, 1919 at the rank of Captain. He brought notice of Secretary of State for War for valuable services in connection with war. He was First President and Charter Member of Flin Flon Branch 73 on October 29, 1929. He became a Life Membership in January 1952. Ernest passed away on June 25, 1954 and is interred at Ross Park Cemetery in Flin Flon. KERR, Harry J. RESERVES Harry was born in Campbell Ford, Ontario in 1938. He enlisted in the Fort Garry Horse Reserves in the Army Tank Corps as a radio operator. In 1958, he went to Germany and back to Calgary then to Germany again training in the Group 3 course as a Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineer. Harry also did recovery work for armored vehicles (ARV) where they pulled tanks out of holes. He was in the service battalion when he was discharged in Portage la Prairie in 1980. He married Diana Trellenberg in 1963 and they had one daughter and two sons. Harry retired from McCain Foods in Portage la Prairie in 1998 and now resides in Winnipeg. He has been a member of Norwood Legion Branch 43.
