He joined the Army and served in France during World War I. William was killed in action in France in 1917. DOUGLAS, Gary T. SPECIAL DUTY AREA Gary was born in 1941 in Russell, Manitoba. He joined the Navy and served with the St. Laurent in Canada in special duty area. Gary passed away in 1997. DUNCAN, Douglas A. WWII Douglas was born in Austin in 1919. He trained in Canada as a Radar Mechanic in the Air Force. After completing his course, he was drafted overseas and served in Ireland and England with #120 RAF Squadron installing and maintaining that fairly new and vital technology, radar. He worked on ground installations and aircraft for the Canadian Air Force, RCAF, and the British Air force, RAF. Douglas passed away in 2005.
