He had two sons, MacDonald and Douglas. He enlisted in Winnipeg and served as a dentist while in service. He is deceased. CLARK, John Wanstall WWI John was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark of Baldur. John served his country at home and abroad. CLINE, Earle H. WWI Earle was born at Baldur, Manitoba, the son of Alex and Lettie Cline. He enlisted in Winnipeg in 1915 and while training there, he contacted measles and died as a result thereof in March of 1916. CRAMER, Delbert M. WWI Delbert was born at Baldur, the son of Laura and M. T. Cramer. He enlisted in Brandon and died on April 12, 1919 on active service while training at Brandon. CRAMER, Thomas Arthur WWI Thomas was born at Baldur, Manitoba, the son of Laura and M. T. Cramer. He enlisted at Baldur with the 222nd Battalion where he trained during 1914-15 as well as at Camp Hughes. He went overseas in 1916 and was killed at Passchendale in 1917. DELORME, Rita Wilma WWII Rita was born at Pilot Mound, Manitoba, the daughter of Thos and Alma Delorme. She married Lloyd Hannah in 1947 and passed away in 1961. She enlisted with the air force in Winnipeg and trained in Ontario. EMBERSON, George WWI George was an English fellow who enlisted at Baldur and also served overseas at Aldershot in England. He returned to Baldur. George is deceased. EVERETT, Leonard Francis PEACETIME Leonard was born in Winnipeg, the son of Francis and Aleta Everett and was with the Canadian Armed Forces in New Brunswick. In April of 1969, he married Catherine Ann Gatisnby. They had one son, Anthony Robin Everett. FURNAS, Jack WWI Jack, a labourer, came to this district from Ontario. He left Baldur with Lorne Playfair the day after war was declared. He was killed in action on November 11, 1918. GOEGEBUER, Marcel WWII Marcel was born at Knesselare, Belgium, the son of Alida and Achiel Goegebuer. In 1941, he married Antoinette Desrochers. He enlisted in Winnipeg and was stationed at Fort William. GOODMAN, Steini WWII Steini was born at Baldur, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Snyder Goodman. He lived in Winnipeg and was employed as a carpenter. He enlisted in Winnipeg and trained at Brandon. He served overseas in France, Belgium and Holland. GROVES, Edward Alfred WWI Edward was born at County of Dorsetshire, England. He enlisted at Baldur, trained at Camp Hughes and overseas in France with the Army Service Corps. Teddy worked as a laborer at Baldur, where he died. HALLGRIMSSON, Edwin P. WWI Edwin was born March 12, 1897 and was the son of Baering and Sigurborg (Christopherson) Hallgrimsson. He enlisted on May 21, 1918. He served in Canada. Edwin farmed in the north-west of Baldur. HOBBS, Frederick “Fred” WWI Frederick was born at Tamsworthy, Dorset, England, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hobbs. Fred enlisted in Winnipeg in 1815. He made his home with the Biles’ family. Fred died in 1969. HORNING, Terrence B. SPECIAL DUTY AREA & PEACETIME Terrence was born in Russell, Manitoba in 1952. He enlisted in the Navy and served aboard HMCS Protecteur, Fraser, Algonquin, Winnipeg, Annapolis, Preserver, Saguenay and Iroquois in the Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea, Pacific and Persian Gulf during Peacetime and in Special Duty Area.
