He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and did his basic training in Winnipeg and was then sent back home. He served with the Highlanders out of Winnipeg during World War II. Upon returning home, he helped his father on the family farm. George never married and he passed away in 1986. He was a member of the Foxwarren Legion Branch 152 for ten years. PIZZEY, Ralph C. WWII Ralph was born in the R.M. of Ellice in 1917. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 in Winnipeg. He did his basic training in BC. He served overseas from 1944 to 1946 going to England, France and Germany during World War II. While in France, he was wounded and had a piece of shrapnel in his leg for the rest of his life. He was married in 1944 and had two children. He returned home in 1946 to the family farm where he resided until his death in 2006. He was a member of the Foxwarren Legion Branch 152 for ten years. PLUMB, Robert WWII Robert was born in 1927 in Binscarth, Manitoba where he also received his schooling. He was the youngest of the five Plumb brothers that joined the Army during World War II. He served in Canada and in Germany during World War II. He was a member of the Princess Pats and remained in the Army after the end of the war. On December 6, 1951, Robert lost his life in a motor vehicle accident.
