WWI Edgar was born at Russell, Manitoba in 1892 to Winsor McCamon and Sarah Frances (Frankie) Laycock. He was the second child in a family of six. Two of his sisters died young and are buried in Zion Cemetery west of Foxwarren. The family relocated to Winnipeg and eventually to Alberta. Edgar joined the Air Force during World War I. Information about his service career is unavailable. He was married and had three children, one of whom was in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Edgar died in Calgary in 1963. McCOLL, Bert WWII Bert was born on the family farm north of Elkhorn, MB in 1925. He joined the Army and was assigned to the infantry. After training in Winnipeg and Camp Shilo, he was on his way overseas when the war ended. After discharge from the Army, Bert made his home in Carberry, MB. McCOLL, Jack KOREA Jack was born near Elkhorn, MB. He enlisted in the Special Force that Canada raised to take part in the Korean War. Jack was in Korea for several months as a member of the Royal Canadian Artillery. On return from Korea, he was released from the Army, married and made his home in Rocky Mountain House, AB where he and his wife Beverly raised a family of two.
