He was drafted into the Military service in November of 1917. He served in the 1st Depot Battalion, Regiment #2381710 in England during World War I. He returned to Canada and was married in 1927 in Winnipeg. Fred’s death is listed as 1950. KUSTRA, Earl WWII Earl was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba in 1924. He joined the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in the United Kingdom, Mediterranean and Europe during World War II. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, France and Germany Star, Italy Star, 1939 – 1945 Star and Defence Medal 1939 – 1945. Earl was a member of the Legion Branch 20 until he passed away in 1995. KUSTRA, Frank WWII Frank was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba in 1913. He joined the Army and served in England, France and Italy with the #70 Light A/A Battery RCA during World War II. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, 1939 – 1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939 – 1945. Frank passed away in 1988.
