He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army on February 18, 1943 in Ontario and served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons. He left in August 1943 to go overseas where he served in Italy, France and Belgium. In 1945, he returned from the war and resided in Calgary, AB until his death in 1986. BUDD, George WWII George was born in Bruxelles, MB in 1918, older brother of Norman Budd and first cousin to Bernard, Stanley and Royce Budd. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in January 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons in Italy, France and Belgium. He returned to Manitoba in 1945 and lived in Calgary, AB until his death in 1955. BUDD, Stanley WWII Stanley was born on his family farm in Somerset, MB in 1920. In 1942, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served with the 18th Manitoba Armoured Car Regiment as a scout car driver in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He returned to Somerset in December 1945 where he resided until his death in December 1979. BUDD, Norman WWII Norman was born on his family’s farm in Bruxelles, MB in 1920. In 1924, his family moved to a farm near Somerset, MB where Norman was raised and attended school. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in March 1942 and served with the 18th Manitoba Armoured Car Regiment during World War II. On September 3, 1942, he went overseas and served in Holland, France, Belgium, England and Germany. He returned to Manitoba in 1945. Norman later resided in Calgary, AB until he passed away in March 2000.
