He joined the Royal Canadian Army during World War II and served in England, Italy and North Western Europe. He was a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for 50 years. Fred passed away in 2008. BRYSON, W. O. George WWII George was born in Deloraine, MB in 1915. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with No. 106 Squadron as an air gunner. He was given the Royal Canadian Air Force Operational Wings, a Certificate of Recognition for Gallant Service and is commemorated at the Durnbach War Cemetery in Bavaria, Germany. George was killed in action in Germany in 1944. Bryson Lake, southwest of Nueltin Lake, was named after him in 1972. BUCKLER, Stiles A. WWII Stiles was born in 1919. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England and Belgium with No. 437 Transport Squadron. Stiles has been a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for 52 years. BRYSON, William M. William was born in Deloraine, MB. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the 1st Canadian Corps. He obtained the rank of Bombardier. William served in Italy, North Africa and England.
