He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the National Resources Mobilization Act Clearing Depot in Winnipeg. He was discharged on October 18, 1945. He was a member of Springfield Legion Branch 146 for 2 years. Edward passed away in 1992 after losing his battle against cancer. SCOTT, James KOREA James was born in 1929. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the 81st Field Regiment during the Korean War. James has been a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for eleven years. SEALEY (WATKINS), Lenore F. M. WWII Lenore was born in Hereford, England on January 14, 1925. She joined the British Army and served with the Women’s Division in the Auxiliary Territorial Service and was stationed in Aldershot, England. While there, she met Arnold W. Sealey of the Royal Canadian Army and they married on November 3, 1945 at St. Holmer’s Church in Hereford. After the war, she left England and joined Arnold in Canada. They settled in Winnipeg, MB where they had eight children. Nora was a member of Fort Garry Legion Branch 90 until her death in 1998. SEAFOOT, Kenneth C. WWII Kenneth was born in Oakland, MB in 1925. He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve on January 1, 1944. He was commissioned as an Ordinary Seaman to H.M.C.S. Norsyd as a radar control operator. The H.M.C.S. Norsyd was commissioned to escort duty for merchant ships between Canadian cities and New York. Aboard this vessel, Kenneth also travelled out into the Atlantic on North Atlantic escort duty taking him as far as Ireland, France, England and Scotland. He has since become a Life Member of the Virden Legion Branch 8, serving as Past President, Vice-President and Treasurer.
