He worked on the family farm with his father and was married to Marion in 1941. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1943 and served in England and Italy during World War II. After his discharge in 1946, he went into mink ranching and several trades. Lorne passed away in 1994 and is buried in Viking, AB. McPHERSON, James D. WWII James was born in Midale, SK in 1909. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in 1943 and served with the Winnipeg Rifles in Europe and in the Army of Occupation. After the war, he worked at the Nurnberg Trials. James passed away in 1961. MITCHELL, Allan WWII Allan was born in Hartney, MB in 1920. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a wireless operator in England during World War II, obtaining the rank of Aircraftman Second Class. Allan passed away in 2000 and is buried in Brantford, ON. MILLAR, Don C. WWII Don was born in Miami, BC in 1926 to James and Bessie Millar. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and was stationed in Shilo, MB. He was discharged in 1946 and returned home to farm on the Millar farm until his retirement. Don passed away in 2003.
