He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served on H.M.C.S. Bellechasse in the high seas. He was a member of Langruth Legion Branch 162 for 52 years. William passed away in 2008. KUNZELMAN, Philip WWII Philip was born in Morden, MB in 1917. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in December 1942 and served as an airframe mechanic in Moncton, NB and Torbay, NL. After the war, he married Olive Johnson and farmed south of Morden. He was a member of Morden Legion Branch 11 for 49 years. Philip lived on the farm until his death in 1994. LAJEUNESSE, Ernest WWII Ernest was born in Kenora, ON in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served during World War II. He married Evelyn and they had seven children. He was a member of Ear Falls Legion Branch 238 for 23 years. Ernest passed away in 1989 and is buried in the Ear Falls Cemetery. KUZYK, Henry Walter WWII Henry was born in Hazelridge, MB in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in 1942 and served both as a civilian member and an enlisted Private in Canada until his discharge in 1944. Henry returned to Hazelridge where he continued to run the family farm and worked for the Municipality of Springfield until his death in 1962.
