He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Lake Superior Regiment from April 12, 1944 to June 7, 1946. He served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. His awards include the France and Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He was a member of Morden Legion Branch 11. Cornelius passed away in 1990. KNIGHT (MILLAR), Alma F. WWII Alma was born in Miami, MB in 1920 to James and Bessie Millar of the Dunston District. She joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1942 and was stationed in Ottawa, ON until the end of the war. Alma passed away in 2004. KOWALCHUK, Kenneth W. PEACETIME Kenneth was born in 1947. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps School Reserve Militia. Kenneth has been a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for 38 years. KNOWLES, W. Grant WWII Grant was born in Wilkie, SK in 1918. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with the Pathfinders No. 156 Squadron and No. 166 Squadron in England and Germany during World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of Atikokan Legion Branch 145. Grant passed away in 1985.
