FLEMINO, George WWII George was born in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve during World War II and served on convoys in the North Atlantic. George was a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for more than fifty years prior to his death in 2006. FORSTER, James Herbert BOER WAR & WWI James was born in 1882 in Morden, Manitoba and he served as a Captain in the South African Campaign and in the Boer War. He was awarded the South Africa Medal with five Bars (1901, 1902, Transvaal, Orange Free State, Cape Colony) and the South Africa Medal with two bars (South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902). James later enlisted in the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles, Saskatchewan Regiment, and served in World War I where he was killed in action at the age of 34 on October 15, 1916. Captain Forster is buried in St. Sever Cemetery in Rouen, France. He received the War Medal 1939-45, the Victory Medal 1914-18 and the Memorial Medal. James was survived by his wife and three children. FLETCHER, James WWI James enlisted in the Canadian Army and served in Canada with the 79th Battalion during World War I.
