He joined the Army during World War I and served with the 222nd Battalion in Northern France as well as with the 46th Saskatoon Battalion, 4th Division. He was wounded in May and August 1917 in the Lens area and he spent several months in various hospitals. William died in 1923. DOUGLAS, Russell WWII Russell was born in 1909 in Hartney, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in World War II and did his officers’ training. Captain Douglas served in Canada. DREW, T. Pat WWI Pat joined the Army during World War I and served in France at St. Éloi, Sanctuary Wood and Amiens with the 1st Field Ambulance, 3rd C.C.C.S. He then transferred to the 24th Battalion, V.R.C. DRAPER, Clarence O. WWII Clarence was born on December 9, 1921 in Elgin, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in October 1941 and served with 408 Squadron. Flight Sergeant Draper was mentioned in dispatches from London in December as having taken part in a raid over Berlin. He flew many missions over Germany and had completed his last tour of operations when he volunteered to go on one more trip with his friend. The crew was reported missing. Flight Sergeant Draper was killed in action on February 26, 1944 and he is buried in Plot 4, Row E in Durnbach War Cemetery in Germany.
