August of 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War. We, as Canadians, are part of an institution that has earned our place of esteem through a distinguished history of service both to Canadian Military Veterans and to the Canadian public. Once again, this edition is not only a tribute to these Veterans but it is a tribute to all Veterans from all generations. The cover photo of this edition is the memorial at Vimy Ridge Memorial Park on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. The memorial was originally placed on Vimy Ridge in 1917, then moved and relocated to Winnipeg in 1926. The proceeds from this edition are used for various Legion programs and we thank all donors and advertisers. We will remember them.
