He fought at the battles of Vimy Ridge, Lens and Triangle. Walter suffered a shrapnel wound in Glasgow in 1917. WATT, James WWI James was born in Scotland. During World War I, he joined the 79th Battalion which re-enforced the 43rd Camerons, and served at Ypres, Hill 60 and the Battle of the Somme where he was killed in action in 1916. WEBB, Thomas V. WWII Thomas was born in 1902 in Daventry, England. He joined the Canadian Army and served in Canada with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps during World War II. He was a member of Birtle Legion Branch 55 before he passed away in 1999. WEBB, Charles Gordon WWI Charles joined the 27th Battalion but was discharged in 1914 as medically unfit. He signed up the C. A. S. C. and transferred to the Canadian Engineers Motor Transport to serve in England and France. Charles was part of the Army of occupation on the Rhine.
