He joined the Canadian Army and served in England and France with the 141st Battalion and the Canadian Machine Gun Corps. He was killed in action in Northern France in 1918, one month before the end of the war. He is buried in the Sancourt British Cemetery in the north of France. TURNER, Clifford C. WWII Clifford was born in Wellwood, Manitoba in 1918. He joined the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps and served in Canada, England, France, Holland and Belgium during World War II. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. Clifford was a member of Carberry Legion Branch 153 for thirty-seven years before he passed away in 1991. USUNIER, Andre WWII Andre was born in Napinka in 1915. He joined the 2nd Armoured Brigade and served as a tank driver in England, France, Belgium and Holland. Trooper Usunier was wounded in France in 1945. UNSWORTH, Ray WWII Ray was born in 1919 in the Westhall District. He enlisted in the Army in World War II and served as a Private with the 2nd Division in England and France where he was wounded. Ray was captured and became a POW on July 20, 1944.
