He was with the local Militia and was commissioned at the outbreak of WWII, serving in Canada with the 17th Field Regiment. Howard was selected to represent Canada at the coronation of King George VI. Lieutenant Allin was killed in 1940 at Camp Petawawa, Ontario in a training accident. ALLIN, Martin R. WWII Martin was born in 1917 in Kenora, Ontario. He joined the Army and served as a Sergeant with the 17th Field Regiment in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy and Northwest Europe during WWII. Martin was Past President of Kenora Legion Branch 12 and a member for forty-nine years. He passed away in 1989. ALPWORTH, Alex G. WWII &SPECIAL DUTY AREA Alex was born in Kenora, Ontario in 1915 and died in January 1989. Alex served in the Army with the Army Service Corps. He was a member of Kenora Legion Branch 12. ALLIN, William B. WWII William was born in Kenora, Ontario in 1905. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served as a Sergeant in Canada and England during World War II. William was a member of Kenora Legion Branch 12 for forty-three years before he passed away in 1984.
