He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve and served on Canada’s east coast on HMCS Griffon. Joel has been a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for sixteen years. KEARNEY (KRAIGHER), Mary WWII Mary was born in 1923 in Czechoslovakia. She served in Canada with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service during WWII. Mary has been a member of Slovak Legion Branch 129 for thirty-nine years. KEMP, Arthur James WWII Arthur was born in 1920 in Manitoba. He joined the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers, 1st Field Squadron, 5th Division, in Canada, England, Italy, Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark, Ireland and Germany during World War II. Arthur was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-45 Campaign Medal, the Italy Star and the France and Germany Star. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion before he passed away in 2008. KEITH, Norman WWII Norman was born in Waldron, Saskatchewan in 1912. He joined the Army during World War II and served as a Major in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the 12th Manitoba Dragoons.
