He served with the 222nd Battalion before transferring to the 4th C. M. G. Alf fought at Vimy, Lens, Mons, Amiens, Arras, Canal du Nord, Cambrai, Denain, Valenciennes and Passchendaele where he was wounded. HUTTON, William WWII William was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1916. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served in Canada, the British Isles and Germany. Sergeant Hutton received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Britain Medal, the Korea Medal and the United Nations Medal. IRVINE, Wesley W. WWI Wesley was born in Ontario. He joined the Army during World War I and served in Northern France where he was killed in action in 1918. INGRAM, L. C. “Charlie” WWI Charlie was born in London, England in 1884. He joined the Canadian Army during World War II and served with the 222nd Battalion and the 44th Battalion at Vimy Ridge in France. Charlie spent a few months in hospitals in Boulogne and Étaples.
