335 leading seaman retired dave morrison David first joined the Reserve on 16 June 1953 as an army Artilleryman. In May 1954, he transferred to the Regular Force and joined the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). He spent fourteen years sailing on a variety of Her Majesty's ships, including minesweepers and destroyers. In 1962, he was stationed on Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) Fraser, where he was second in command of the Sonar Branch. His most memorable moment of his career came when he was stationed on the west side of the Panama Canal during the Cuban missile crisis. David retired from the RCN on 20 March 1968 as a Leading Seaman. �
