321 captain retired beatrix delong At the young age of twenty-two, DeLong joined Ford Credit Canada where she achieved the position of Team Lead. While performing this full-time job, she joined the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves in 1999 as an Army Officer with the Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC). CIC Officers serve in the sea, land, or air elements, in more than 1,100 corps and squadrons across Canada. They receive specialized training to prepare them for their duties as youth leaders. While fulfilling her role as a CIC Officer, DeLong performed such duties as the Administration Officer, Training Officer, and the prestigious role of Commanding Officer. She also performed duties as a Platoon Commander and Movements Officer. She retired from this position in 2008. Currently, she volunteers with The Royal Canadian Humane Association as a Bravery Awards Coordinator for The Royal Canadian Humane Association Bravery Awards Investitures. She is a motorcyclist, and rides with the Canadian Army Veterans (CAV) Motorcycle Units. The CAV is a National Veterans-based organization providing service and assistance to Veterans primarily through fundraising efforts and one-on-one contact. Beatrix has also volunteered as a Unit President and Operations Officer, where she continues to volunteer her time and expertise. �
