315 Richard Abfalter, CD, BSC, RDT, joined the military in 1958 under the Soldier Apprentice Plan and then left in 1968 to attend University of Notre Dame in Nelson, BC. He reenlisted in1972 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree. This time, Richard became a lab technician. He finished his career as the Dental Corps and Postal Corps Career Manager. His deployments included Cyprus and Germany, and a stint with our Special Operations Force. Richard was posted no less than eight times in his career to Edmonton, Trenton, Petawawa, Halifax(twice), Victoria, Germany, and Ottawa. The highlight of Richard's career was the fellowship between soldiers.
