375 In the Service of Canada ARMY biographies Miller, Glenn Arnold Glenn was born in Spring Hill, Nova Scotia in 1946 and joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders at age fifteen. In 1963 he joined the Canadian Guards and participated in the Changing of the Guard ceremony on Parliament Hill at Ottawa for four summers. Glenn did one peacekeeping tour in Cyprus in 1965-1966 and then in 1969 became a member of the Canadian Airborne Regiment. He did a second tour with the Airborne Regiment in Cyprus in 1975-1976. For his service, Glenn received the Canadian Forces Decoration, the Special Service Medal, the United Nations Cyprus Medal, and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. Glenn is a forty-four year member of the Royal Canadian Legion and currently resides in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Glenn is also a member of the Canadian Rangers for the past twenty-nine years. � Stewart Law, Allen Allen was born at Montreal in 1925. He served in the West Nova Scotia Regiment during the Second World War in Italy and Northwest Europe. The West Nova Scotia Regiment was mobilized for active service on 1 September 1939. The unit then embarked for Great Britain on 21 December 1939. It landed in Sicily on 10 July 1943, and in Italy on 3 September 1943, as part of the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Infantry Division. On 19 March 1945, the battalion moved with the I Canadian Corps to North West Europe, where it fought until the end of the war. FACTOID FACTOID
