177 The memorial to the Nova Scotia Highlanders at Authie. Erected in the 1960’s, the memorial honours the 84 North Novas and 7 citizens of Authie who were killed in the village and surrounding area on 7 June 1944.What the memorial does not tell is that the 12th SS murdered many of those North Novas after capture, some within meters of this memorial that day.
