Three days after they disembarked, Private Wilcox was in Pont-Remy, one thousand kilometres north of Marseilles. From what I can put together, Fred made his way to Englebelmer, and at the end of April to MaillyMaillet and Louvencourt. I have discovered that looking for records and information on those who served can be a bit like chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. He undoubtedly ended up at the Gallipoli 1915.
