He enlisted in the 13th Field Company, RCE, in World War Two and served in Canada, England and Italy. As a musician, he played in several RCE productions in England broadcast by the BBC. Robert returned to Canada in October 1944 as a POW escort. After his discharge, he worked for the Western Canadian Coal Company in Bellevue, Blairmore and Calgary. He retired to Blairmore where he passed away on February 2, 1982. Robert was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for fifty years. His son, Leonard Blake, also served in the Army during World War Two. Bolt, Patrick William George Patrick was born in the Hillside District southwest of Millet, Alberta in 1923. He served for five and a half years in the Army during World War Two in France, North Africa, England, Holland, Belgium, Italy, and Germany. Patrick passed away in 1955. Bolt, William William was born on December 25, 1889, in Thornhill, Scotland. After immigrating to Canada, he worked as a baker in Edmonton, Alberta until he enlisted with the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force on May 8, 1915. He served as a Private during World War One. No further information was available.
