He joined the Navy and served in the Pacific and Atlantic from 1942 until 1945. He served first on a K169 minesweeper and then on HMCS Rosthern, a corvette submarine chaser. Raymond was demobilized in 1945 and returned home. He passed away in 1994. Beddoes, Ernest Born in England, Ernest joined the Royal Field Artillery, 54th Brigade, in 1914. After training, he was sent to Egypt under Eastern Command and later shipped across the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas through the Dardanelles to northern Turkey, where he fought four years in the Balkan States in an effort to reach Germany. In October 1918, Ernest was admitted to the 49th General Hospital, Salonika, Greece, suffering from influenza, dysentery, and malaria. He was invalided back to England. After recuperating, Ernest left England in 1921 and moved to the Beaver Dam/Indlis Area to live. Beek, James James was born in Kitscoty, Alberta in 1922. He enlisted inWorldWar Two with the CanadianArmy and received training in Canada. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kitscoty Branch 158. James died in 2008.
