He served as a Private in the 151st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force in World War One. Johannes passed away on January 13, 1969. He is buried in Viking Cemetery. Anderson, Joseph “Joe” Joe and a partner built the Mountview Hotel in Rocky Mountain House. He joined the Army in World War One and fought in France with the 31st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Joe was killed in action in 1916 and has no known grave. Anker, Peter Peter was born in Russia in 1908. His family moved to Canada, and he enlisted in the Army in 1942. Peter served as a cook until 1947 in Shilo, Manitoba; theYukon Territory; Edmonton, Alberta; and Camrose, Alberta. Peter retired to Millet, Alberta in 1975 and joined The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 229. When his health began to fail, he moved toWetaskiwin where he passed away in 2000.
